Dr Horst Schaffer is a founding partner of the firm Schaffer & Partner mbB, which was established in 1987. He previously worked for a well-known auditing and tax consultancy firm in Nuremberg, following his studies in business administration and a stay of several months abroad in the USA. In 1985 he was appointed as a tax adviser, in 1986 he was sworn in as an auditor and in 1996 he received his doctorate from the Budapest University of Economic Sciences.

Furthermore, Dr Horst Schaffer is a founding partner of the management consultancy Schaffer & Collegen GmbH and managing director of Schaffer WP Partner Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft mbH. He is also a member of the board of directors of a non-profit foundation and a member of several supervisory boards. In addition to various lecturing and teaching activities, Dr. Horst Schaffer is a juror for the Northern Bavaria Business Plan Competition.

Thomas Schrepfer joined the firm in 1987 while still studying business administration at the Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. He was appointed as a tax advisor in 1992 and became a partner in the firm Schaffer & Partner mbB in 1994.

Ralph Winterhalter joined the firm in January 1993 after completing his studies in business administration at the Georg Simon Ohm University of Applied Sciences in Nuremberg. He was appointed as a tax advisor in 1998 and has been a partner in Schaffer & Partner since 2003.

After studying business administration at the Georg-Simon-Ohm University of Applied Sciences, which she completed in 1991, Sabine Erhardt joined a well-known auditing and tax consultancy firm in Nuremberg, where she worked as a tax advisor and auditor after passing her tax advisor exam in 1994 and being appointed as an auditor in 2001.

Sabine Erhardt joined Schaffer & Partner in 2001. She has been managing director of Schaffer WP Partner GmbH Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft since 2002 and a partner in the firm Schaffer & Partner mbB since 2004.

Sophia Schmid completed her law studies at the Friedrich Alexander University in Erlangen. She joined Schaffer & Partner in 1998 and has been a partner in the firm since 2003. Her main focus is advising medium-sized companies in all areas of business law. Sophia Schmid is head of the legal department together with Mr Mederer, has been a certified and specialized lawyer in labour law since 2003 and, after expanding her areas of practice, has also been a certified and specialized lawyer in commercial and corporate law since 2009.

Matthias Braun studied law at the Universities of Bayreuth, Regensburg and at the Université Lumière Lyon II. He was admitted to the bar in 2006 and joined Schaffer & Partner in 2008. He has been a partner in the firm since 2018. He heads the Neumarkt i.d.OPf. office.

In addition to his training in German law, he completed postgraduate studies in economics and obtained a university degree in French and European law with the Maîtrise en droit. He has been a certified and specialized lawyer in inheritance law (= Fachanwalt für Erbrecht) since 2013 and a certified and specialized lawyer in commercial and corporate law (= Fachanwalt für Handels- und Gesellschaftsrecht) since 2018.

Mr Braun was a lecturer for corporate law and general commercial law at the TH Deggendorf (Deggendorf Institute of Technology). Since 2018, he has been a lecturer for civil, corporate and labour law at the Neumarkt i.d.OPf. location of the University of Applied Management.

Norbert Mevissen studied economics at the University of Duisburg and subsequently worked for a well-known auditing and tax firm in Duesseldorf. In 1990, he passed his tax consultant exam and subsequently ran a tax firm in Neuss on a self-employed basis. In 2008, Mr. Mevissen completed his advanced training as a specialist consultant for international tax law and joined Schaffer & Partner in 2009.

After completing her training as a tax assistant in 2001, Katrin Loeser joined Schaffer & Partner at the beginning of 2002. In 2005, she successfully completed her further training as a tax specialist (Steuerfachwirtin). In 2009, she was appointed as a tax consultant.
